Harvard Health Publications (HHP), a division of Harvard Medical School, recently announced a partnership with Chicago-based Outcome Health to improve health IT and patient engagement in over 40,000 waiting and exam rooms across the United States.
The partnership will focus on content produced by Outcome Health including videos, illustrations and additional health information overseen and advised by staff at Harvard Health. Some of Outcome Health’s current platform features include Exam Room Tablet, which connects patients to lifestyle management programs, and 3D anatomical renderings that physicians can use in the exam room to help patients understand complex medical concepts.
Harvard Health Publications’ Editor-in-Chief, Gregory Curfman, MD, spoke to the partners’ focus on improving the most critical moments of patient treatment:
We will now be able to create a greater positive impact by sharing Harvard Medical School’s faculty expertise with a broader audience through an engaging and informative experience at the time it matters most: the moments of care.
